Dark, dank, and dreary, February must be the most depressing time of the year. Other than Valentine’s Day there is nothing to look forward to, not the freshness of spring or the sunny days of summer or the beauty of the fall. Up until now the holidays made the winter bearable. \nTherapists call this dreadful feeling SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder. Lack of sunshine will do us in no time. Throw in the double whammy of the February Blahs and it’s a recipe for depression. Fortunately, there are a variety of ways to fight back. My chosen way is to use crystals to bring the sunshine back into m y life.\nGive me a lepidolite bracelet, some lithium quartz in my pocket, a citrine druzy and I’m ready to face come what may. Oh, you don’t like those, well how about aventurine or orange calcite. Who could not love orange calcite, with its Halloween glow. Just holding those stones in the palms of my hands makes me smile. \nIt’s amazing what a difference certain crystals can make to your outlook. They radiate an energy that just carries you along. The power of crystals has long been recognized since ancient times. Healers and Shamans have long used them for the unique properties. It is believed that crystals vibrate at the same pitch as humans enhancing our healing capacities. Edgar Cayce, the famous healer, was a great believer in the power of crystals. \nThese beautiful gifts from the earth are not only beautiful but useful in so many ways. If your depression gets to be more than crystals can handle, head to your doctor. And don’t forget to walk there with crystals in your hands and hopefully a little peek of sunshine.
